Rumors.... Cricut Imagine

OK so I have heard the same story 5 different ways now and all 5 of them could not possibly all be true, because they are all different

I do know they are still really working on the CCR and

Imagine issue....  SO instead of boycotting and bashing  PC, be an advocate for positivity

and let them know you want them to keep working on  it.....

In the meantime....
If you would like to use your imagine with CCR. I have done my printing with with the imagine and then used the same file to cut the images out with ANY other machine with a 12x12 cutting mat. Not the quickest method.... but it works.
You can use the imagine items and cut them on ANY machine. You do not need to have an Imagine or E2 to use Imagine Cartridges.... You can do it with ANY Cricut with a 12x12 mat.

I have heard many things this weekend about the Cricut Imagine. So I have set up this forum, instead of bashing Provo-Craft, be an advocate of positivity and instead of putting them down, express why they should listen and help to improve the Imagine, instead of getting rid of it (like the rumors are being spread about it) True or not..... Let's let Provo Craft know that we DO love our Imagine and would love if they keep making the Imagine and Cartridges for the Imagine.

I will obviously be sharing this post with my contacts at Provo-Craft.....

In a POSITIVE way express your wants,

when it comes to the Imagine machine.....

No bashing or boycotting allowed around here. Please take the time to express in a positive way why you want  Provo Craft to keep working on and improving on our Cricut Imagine machines.

PROJECT CUT FILES

STEP-BY-STEP HOW-TO INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

I used Cricut Craft Room to make the file for this. See the attached file

STEP 2

I applied the paper in 6x6 sections to the cutting mat. I used one layer on the cutting mat in Cricut Craft Room. Make sure you use at least 6" of paper on the cutting mat, the more surface area the paper is in contact with the cutting mat the better it sticks to the mat and less chance to slip when it is being cut.

STEP 3

Here is the cutting mat after I cut the paper.

STEP 4

This tree was originally going to be black, but as I removed it from the cutting mat I noticed how cute the paper on the back side with the words was.

STEP 5

Here is my cute little Owl assembled. I used pattern paper for all of this from the 6x6 Doodlebug paper pack. Don't be afraid to use patterned paper to make an image.

STEP 6

After I assembled the characters I put them on the birdhouse. I put the owl in front of the scalloped edge piece on the bottom. It looked better and gave it some dimension.

STEP 7

Using a Pencil Trace the outline of the bird house onto the Imaginsce Monster Mash Tricks and Treats 12x12 sheet of paper. Then cut it out. Apply adhesive to the entire sheet of paper. I used the Xyron Creatopia to apply permanent adhesive to the paper. Then carefully line up and apply it to the base of the KaiserCraft MDF Birdhouse.

STEP 8

Get the black sheet of Best Creation glitter paper. Get the 2 scalloped edge items in the bird house. Trace those on the back side of the black glitter paper. Then cut those out by hand. Apply adhesive to the entire back side of those papers and apply them.

Have An Owlsome Fall Y'All Blog Hop!

Welcome to the
Have An Owlsome Fall Y'All
Blog Hop!

We are so happy to have you join us today! The hop starts at Heather Lynn's blog so please start there.  You won't want to miss out on any of these wonderful projects! This is a 2 day hop and the line up will be different each day.
Please start HERE today , so we can send you in the right direction!
Our first "Well Owl Be" Blog Hop went over so well, we decided to do an owl themed hop 4 times a year! Our next hop will be right before Christmas and we hope you will come back and join us then, too!

One grand prize winner will win a Cricut cartridge and a stamp set sponsored by Erica's Craft Room! Thank you, Erica, you are so generous! Please be a follower and leave a comment at all of the stops in the hop for the chance to win. There will also be other blog candy along the way!

Here is my Birdhouse, I mean Owl house!
I got a great deal on these birdhouses.... that is why some of you have seen them as Halloween, Fall, and Christmas birdhouses.
This one today is for our Blog Hop host Heather. I am sure she will read this, so the next time you come over it is waiting to go home with you! Or I just might surprise you and deliver it!

I used Some Imaginisce Monster Mash Paper for the team one.
Then I used Doodlebug 6x6 paper pack for the Black Chevron on the owl and the purple on the owl as well as the little criss cross paper on the owl's tummy. I cut the owl and tree at 4" My standard size for everything on the Cricut. It make perfect cuts and the tiny pieces are not impossible to work with. I have tested almost EVERY size die cut and the Cricut LOVES 4" for characters. I forgot to tell you that I used Create a Critter 2 to make this..... It is only $32.48, on the last stop of the hop you can click on my name (Erica's Craft Room)

Here is the close up of my owl and Tree at 4". The original tree was to be the black cheveron, but when I pulled it off of the cutting mat I LOVED the print on the back, so I used it. I used Black glitter to cover the scallop edges items. I used some Paper Studio Shimmer paper for the Orange.

I used Cricut's Craft Room and here is how I set up my mat to cut all of the items at once.
I usually cut my entire project on one cutting mat.
I have no idea what I would do without Cricut Craft Room.
For those of you who have not used craft room yet, I encourage you to, so much that I put together a 78 page printable Help Guide, you can download that here.

Here is how I set it up in Craft Room.
You can see how I sectioned it off on my cutting mat in craft room.

Because you need a certain amount of paper on the cutting mat I suggest no smaller than 6x6 for any color. The less paper you put on the mat, the less contact it has with the sticky surface and tend to slide off when the cricut goes to cut.

Once I pulled the outer paper off here is what was left. Perfectly fit in its own 6x6 section.

Thank you for taking the time to stop and look at my project!!!
..... By the way I am also Erica's Craft Room (today's sponsor) So I put ALL paper on sale in my store for only $.65 Just click on my name on the last stop of the hop to see them!

Next.... head over to Cindy's Blog Next.
