Theme Day Thursday January 24, 2013 Valentine Theme

Today Mary used Elegant Edges, Artiste, A Childs Year and MS Seasonal Cake Art carts to create her Valentines' Day project. You can find her "twist" on easel cards on her blog:

I used many Cricut Craft Room Digital Cartridges and they are on sale right now for 25% off at cricut.com right now. Ends at midnight tonight (Friday January 25, 2013)

I made this using the Valentine's Day Sentiments Cricut Craft Room Exclusive Cartridge.
I cut the Hey Honey Bee Mine at 3" The other sizes are the card I cut at 6x6 with the paper trimmer and then 5x5 and 4x4 then the black and white stripes are from the bottom of the paper where it shows you what the pattern is on the back of the paper. I used Best Creations glitter papers for the red, black and silver. I used Imaginisce patterned papers.

My Lovely assistant Bella (my 5 year old daughter) Helped me with a few of these...
you can tell where she helped.... wanted pictures taken and put on the blog! She is all about sharing on the blog now.... she just got into it this week. She helped me get back into the craft room and we have crafted together for about an hour each night this week. What a joy to share this with her.
Funny story.... Sometimes parents with negotiate with kids.... take 2 more bites and you can be done with dinner. My daughter will take extra bites for cards for crafting... Now she is trying to get bling (sparkles) to craft with... Looks like I will need to pick up 4-5 sets of the $1 bling from walmart for her.... Wait until you see the Halloween people she made.... It will be "On the blog" this weekend !

If you ever have a hard time getting adhesive to stick on glitter paper.... I just cut a whole in it so I can adher my top layer the the bottom layer. So there is adhesive on the back of the red and if you look in the above picture the grey "lace" looking paper is on top of the red, but I cut the hole in the red so I could attach the lace grey paper to the grey chevron paper.

Here is the inside of the card. I just used a paper trimmer and just added random papers from the same Imaginisce paper collection. The white "post card" is where I will write my message.

Same paper collection and all cut with a paper trimmer the back of the card.

This is a TPC paper collection.
I made this card at 5 1/2"  Using the Cricut Craft Room Exclusive Valentine's Day Card 04

I lined the inside so I have a nice place to write my message

This is Cricut Craft Room Exclusive Valentine's Day Card 08 Cartridge at 5 1/2"
This was I think Bella Blvd. paper.

Here is the inside of this card. I thought I would use the newspaper print as the place for my message and write my message with a red marker.

This is also at 5 1/2" It is Valentine's Day Card 19 Cricut Craft Room Exclusive Cartridge.
This is Bella Blvd. Paper. If you see the bright pink it was actually the light pink paper around it, but it did not stand out enough with the hearts. So I folded the card open and slid a paper towel between the front and middle. I folded the paper towel aroudn the back so the entire card was covered except the front (see the next picture for what it looked like AFTER i took the paper towel away.)
I used Glimmer Mist in Viva Pink to make it a brighter pink!

I cut this card at 5 1/2" using Valentine's Day Card 16 Cricut Craft Room Exclusive Cartridge.

I cut this card at 5 1/2" using Valentine's Day Card 21 Cricut Craft Room Exclusive Cartridge.
This is Bella Carta Paper Devoted collection.

I cut this card at 5 1/2" using Valentine's Day Card 07 Cricut Craft Room Exclusive Cartridge.
This was Teresa Collins Paper.

DESIGN TEAM CALL!!!!

A spot on this design team could be a great opportunity for people to see your projects each week. This term is February to the end of August.

As a part of the team, you will need to make one post a week on your blog in correlation with my blog. You will also need to participate in our 100 Cricut cartridge blog hop the first full weekend of each month. You will get a blinkie for your blog and your blinkie (if you have one) will go on my blog here. The group of ladies are so great, talented and helpful.

I am looking for a few beginners, a few intermediate and a few highly talented people. The main thing that I am looking for is for you to show your work and give a detailed description so anyone can replicate your project no matter how simple or advanced your project is.

The general rules of my blog and facebook are to share in a positive way. We promote the use of Cricut cartridges and no SVG images. I also like you to use actual stamps and not digi stamps.

To apply please email me ContactErica@aol.com

Please put the subject DESIGN TEAM CALL

2. What country and time zone you live in
3. Blog address (you have to have a blog, feel free to create one)
4. A link to your favorite project you have made
