Cupcake Wars Blog Hop

Welcome to Cupcake Wars! No bloodshed here, just plenty of sugar! If you didn't start at Janet's blog: http://janetscreativeworld.blogspot.com/ please do so! She's giving away a Cricut Lite Cartridge-Cupcake! How sweet is that?
We don't want you to miss any of the scrumptious projects and some have even left recipes for you to try! As we head into the holiday season, you might just have a new family favorite!
You should have come from: Connie I'm so glad you're here now, so check out my project and what I cooked up for you!

So here is my Family's twist on a Cupcake War :)

We used Cupcake wrappers at 5 1/2" and we made crowns with them for Bella's Dolls.
We cut them 3 times to get the layered look that she said was "Perfect"

Our first Lovely Red Head model is Mia, Mia performs as an Ice Skater during the Winter Olympic season.  She is holding the card in the "popped up" position showing the hidden cupcake inside. We cut the card at 7" Using the Cricut Craft Room Exclusive Cricut Mini-School. We hid all of the school words and pencils. We did keep the border on the top and bottom so we could make it into a slider card. This was Echo Park Very Merry Christmas paper.... Available in the webstore for only $.75 a sheet ALL weekend, EVERYTHING is on SALE, even the New Teresa Collins December 25th Cricut cartridge that was used at 2 1/2" For the holly, which was cut out of 4 different colors to create the layers. It is only $21.98 today!

Kit is on the right modeling another cupcake wrapper crown. Also cut at 5 1/2" using Cupcake Wrappers Lite Cricut Cartridge. She is modeling the card in the closed or hidden cupcake look.
The cupcake on the left picture came from Martha Stewart All Occasion Cake Art cut at 2 1/2"

Here is the inside of the card. I cut an extra piece to cover the back of the slider so no one could see it. I like the finished look when I give a card.
You can see the reverse Cricut C, which is showing through from the back side of the
Cricut Mini-School card.  You can find these cartridges and paper at www.shop.ericascraftroom.com

I forgot today's Blog Candy is sponsored by Erica's Craft Room, It is the retired Speaking of Fall Cricut cartridge. Even though I used Christmas paper.... I thought I made the from look like it fit fall, in honor of the Official start of Fall yesterday!

I am the last stop on the hop!
If you get lost, head back to Janet's,
Thanks for stopping by! Now on to more yummy ideas!
