Abuse Awareness Blog Hop

Welcome to the Abusive Relationship Awareness Blog Hop. While this may not be your typical blog hop theme, we decided to put together this hop in order to shed light on a topic that often goes unspoken about, when the truth is many of us have either been in an abusive relationship or know of someone who has. We're here not to celebrate abusive relationships, but to bring hope to those who have been firsthand or secondhand victims and to provide awareness to help put an end to this growing problem.

All of our projects showcased in this hop have something to do with hope, love, and encouragement. The color for domestic violence is purple, and as you'll see purple was used on many of our projects.

For my project, I created....

a vinyl decal for my car of my Daughter.
This was NOT made with the Cricut, it was actually made with my Silhouette Cameo machine and the little girl image is a Silhouette Studio image. I then used the ellipse feature to create a circle then I aligned my letters around the curve of the oval. There are so many SVG designers with blog candy so I decided to go with the theme of SVGs. Don't worry my blog will go back to ALL Cricut after this hop :)

I decided to show this because I think about my little one and I hope and pray that she is NEVER in an abusive relationship. All we can do is be friends with our children and hope and pray that they never get into an abusive relationship, because once they are in it, it is so difficult to get out of it.

To help promote awareness for abusive relationships, eleven sponsors have been kind enough to offer almost $200 worth of prizes to those who participate in the blog hop. Yes, you read that correctly, there will be 11 PRIZE WINNERS. Let's see what prizes are being offered...

Too many women and men also get sucked into the circle. I have seen it too many times so thank you for doing this blog awareness hop. Please take a moment to look at the 3 links on the bottom ladies and keep an eye on the young ones forming relationships. Do not let them think that its ok because its the way its always been!

I agree with you so much. My mom was in an abusive relationship which she took 25 years to end. I was in one and it took me 11 years and now my daughter is in one with two great daughters that are learning the same thing. I continue to support her hoping one day soon she will see the light.

Great decal! It is wonderful that you are helping to spread awareness. It is also important to realize that more and more young boys are getting into abusive relationships too. Many are afraid to speak up because it is not manly to be pushed around by your girlfriend. So ladies, watch and pray for your sons too.

I understand how you feel. I have two little girl and I pray that they will never every have to go through this. This hop is near and dear to me because I lost my cousin to an abuse relationship. He killed her when she walked through the door with the cops. He was running off and started shooting at the cops and they killed him. My cousin left behind my now 10 year old 2nd generation cousin. Your cut turned out beautiful TFS AJ~

Love your decal. I think this hop is a great idea, sometimes people we would never think are in abusive relationships are suffering in silence. I am lucky that I have never been hit by my husband but I have a friend who is currently in a abusive relationship and she just doesn't see how bad it is. I have begged her to leave and she always makes excuses for him. It is really sad and frustrating at the same time. I pray every day that she will see the light but until then I will be her friend. Thanks for the great hop.

It is wonderful to promote that we can only hope and pray the abuse would stop! As a child to a teenager; i too was abused - physically, mentally, verbally and at a point sexually.... YOU can decide when it is time to NEVER allow that to happen to your children. YOU can stop the abuse from continuing.... parkernana5@cox.net
