Design Team Wednesday August 27, 2014 with My Cricut Craft Room and using Cricut fonts

Bethany made her project of a Wizard of Oz birthday card using Cricut fonts.

This project used almost entirely Cricut elements all the way down to the writing feature
on the Explore.

Castle card - Princess Party
Circle tag - Christmas Cheer
Hot Air Balloon - Children Around the World
Rainbow - Groovy Times
The Witches - modified from elements in Once Upon a Princess
Yellow brick road - Paper Dolls for Everyday (with the road lines removed with "hide contour")
Fonts used for the center sentiment - Baby Steps, CM Jolly and Merry from Holiday Frames and Tags, and CM Rubber Ducky from Tiny Treasures.  The poem itself was my own creation.
The character silhouettes are from images on http://kraftynook.blogspot.com/.

Paper used was core'dinations cardstock.
Ribbon was re-purposed from a headband that my children destroyed, it used to look like this...

I hope you all enjoy my creation!  Happy Wednesday!

Design Team Monday August 25, 2014 with My Cricut Craft Room and Christmas Theme

Only 4 more months until Christmas!!
I THINK I am all done shopping for my daughter now...
Just one thing left. How is your Christmas shopping coming?
Have you even made a list yet?!?!
~Erica

Today Janis made a Christmas themed project for the 25th of August...I made this Christmas centerpiece with a file from svgcuts.com called Christmas box cards svg kit..... This was so fun to put together. I used Bazzill cardstock & then embossed the poinsettias with my swiss dots cuttlebug folder. I inked the edges of flowers & added a few pearls & some golden rod stickles in the center of poinsettias.

Please visit my Blog at http://www.scrappergrl.blogspot.com

This is the lantern from svgcuts.com that I put together. I made this into a Christmas theme & hope you like how it came out. I made this for the Design Team-My Cricut Craft Room.

Hi Everyone! My name is Kim and I love to create (imagine that). I have a very eclectic style and this comes out in the projects I create. I enjoy paper crafting, stamping, drawing, and art journaling. A little about me. I am married and live in Southwest Missouri where I work as a Registered Nurse. I love spending time with my hubby and our family. I am excited to be a part of this team and look forward to sharing my projects with you. Here are some projects I have created. Happy Creating!

This is a mini album created from a single piece of 12 x 12 cardstock. I am currently working on a video tutorial for this project.

This is a sample of stamping and inking I have done.

This is one of my favorites...this project was created from a file from SVGCuts.

One of my masculine cards that I made for my brother.

Another sample of stamping and inking.

This was my first vinyl subway art...a gift for a friend.

Design Team Friday August 22, 2014 with My Cricut Craft Room and Design Team Introduction to Melissa and Charlene

My Cricut Craft Room and Design Team Introduction to Melissa and Charlene

My name is Melissa Howard and I love to craft. I joke that I have never met a craft that I didn't like. That is mostly true, however I have fallen in love with paper crafting. I love making cards for friends and family and I love creating scrapbooks for myself and others. I also love to make things for school and that comes in handy because I teach first grade.

When I look back over my past albums and projects, I am surprised to see how much my style has changed over the years. The materials and tools have had a big impact on me and now that I have the Explore, watch out world.  Here are just a few of my favorite projects.

This is one of my first vinyl projects, a cup for me!

Here are a couple of cards plus a sweet treat that I made using my Explore.

Happy Crafting!

Iv been a crafter as long as I can remember. I've been making cards and scrapping booking for over 20 years. My husband calls my craft room the craft cave. I got craftmut from pushing M instead of N when I was signing up for emails 20 years ago, and I've just have kept it. Im a Christian, I was blessed to go on a mission trip to Africa last year. I don't belive in witches, but it's a inside family joke. I teach friends with scrap booking and making cards, lately I've been teaching friends to use the Explore, even my nine year old granddaughter. I'm amazed I was ask to going this design team!

This is a smash book I made from a composition book using  Artbooking cartridge, and paper from Close To My Heart, their cartridges are my favorites.

I was given this heat transfer vinyl from a friend who has a t-shirt shop and I taught her how to use her cricut explore to do custom work in her shop. I was given a used heat press by some great friends who do t-shirts.  I was able to do the design my self from stahls.com on their site you can use CadworxLIVE™, was easy to use.

Made this from svgcut, com file, I love these guys, they even have videos on how to put it together, not sure who the paper is by.

Got the files to do this 4th of July banner from kadoodlebugdesigns.com, the trick with doing the rosettes is hot glue.

Meet Jen Goode - Illustrator, Designer and Cricut Fan

Hi! My name is Jen Goode (pronounced Goody). I am an Illustrator and Designer and the Doodler in Charge at JGoode Designs, a design studio based in Colorado. I'm a work-at-home mom of 3 and I absolutely love all things creative. I've been a creative professional since 1996 and I'm constantly on the look out for more ways to create and share fun project ideas.

I enjoy creating in all mediums but especially love to draw with a basic black ink pen. I recently started designing projects to use specifically with the new Cricut Explore and I try to integrate my drawings into my projects. You can view my Cricut Design Space project gallery here.

My absolute favorite projects to create are the ones that use the fine point Midnight Black pen with the Cricut Explore. (Sure! You can use another pen, I just love the classic pen and ink look). I especially love watching the machine draw and the end result always looks like someone hand drew the design. I Love It!

Here are a few of my favorite Cricut projects:

Mini Love Note with envelope and confetti

Rainbow Flower Card

Picnic Greeting Card

More about Me

Besides Cricut projects, I love to sew, paint, draw and pretend I can cook (my husband eats it, so it must count, right?). I'm an active member of the Craft and Hobby Association. I've worked with a variety of craft manufacturers to create project tutorials including i Love to Create, Clearsnap, DecoArt, Krylon, Styrofoam, Xyron among others. I blog about my creative adventures and ideas on 100Directions.com where I share all kinds of creative fun from craft tutorials to recipes and family activities. I also share printable projects (free downloads for you, YAY!) and sometimes reviews of products that I love. You can find all of my Cricut project ideas, tips and information on my Create with Cricut page.

I just created an entire picnic collection with a whole slew of fun picnic themed goodies you can make. I wish summer would last forever!

I'm so excited to be a part of this team and am looking forward to sharing more creative Cricut ideas with you! I've got more fun projects on the way, I hope you like them. I LOVE feedback and am always looking for suggestions, so if something I create sparks idea or a question, please share, I'd love to hear from you!
