My IMAGINE-ation Monday December 31, 3012- New Years Eve- Something Sparkly

Happy New Year to you all!

This is a year full of surprises and many new and wonderful changes

This is now ONLY a blog there is no business or store attached to this any longer....
So just a bunch of Cricut Creating fun!!!

A spot on this design team could be a great opportunity for people to see your projects each week. This term is January to the end of July.

As a part of the team, you will need to make one post a week on your blog in correlation with my blog. You will also need to participate in our 100 Cricut cartridge blog hop the first full weekend of each month. You will get a blinkie for your blog as pictured above and your blinkie (if you have one) will go on my blog here. The group of ladies are so great, talented and helpful.

I am looking for a few beginners, a few intermediate and a few highly talented people. The main thing that I am looking for is for you to show your work and give a detailed description so anyone can replicate your project no matter how simple or advanced your project is.

The general rules of my blog and facebook are to share in a positive way. We promote the use of Cricut cartridges and no SVG images. I also like you to use actual stamps and not digi stamps.

To apply please email me ContactErica@aol.com

Please put the subject DESIGN TEAM CALL if you do not put that as the subject I will probably miss it.

Please include:

1. Your name
2. What country and time zone you live in
3. Blog address (you have to have a blog, feel free to create one)
4. A link to your favorite project you have made
5. Your project must use cricut cartridges.
6. Also list any other design teams if you are on one.
7. Then tell me why you would love to me on my design team!

Best of luck!

Submission deadline is Sunday, January 13, 2012 11:59pm PST
No late applications can be accepted.

Nadja used Sweethearts, Simply Charmed and Paper Lace cartridges for her project today.

For a reader's comment....

Anastasia,
I found this comment but I clicked on your blogger profile and have no way of contacting you.....

Hello! My name is Anastasia and i am from Greece! As i have seen you're a cricut expert! I bought cricut expression 2 last week and i would like to work via the ccr but it is impossible. I downloaded the application on my pc but when i make a project and press the cut button i receive a message saying "no usable devices are available". I read that maybe my machine needs a firmware update. I downloaded cricut sync software but i received the same message again. It seems like my pc doesn't recognize my cricut! I used every port of my computer, i downloaded usb drivers, i have done everything but nothing... Do you have any idea how i could resolve this problem or you know a site where i could find any informations about? i visit cricut official site but i didn't find anything...  Thanks a lot! on Wednesday December 26, 2012 Card Creating WEDNESDAY – National Thank You Day, Thank you cards.

I would love to help you..... We can message on Facebook one day or email. I am also about to start my Ustream classes for Cricut help next week. I will have 3+ tutorials each week to help all of you.  I know Cricut Craft Room has given a few people some trouble. But once it is explained once I think it will make sense and then seem very easy to you (at least I hope so)

My email is ContactErica@aol.com please put the subject of Anastasia so I know it is from you.

Also I am no expert I just share my mistakes and hope someone learns from them.....
Make sure that Cricut Sync and Cricut Craft Room are NOT open at the same time. They use the same driver and it causes problems, so only use one at a time. Craft Room usually knows if your machine is properly updated or not.

Festive Friday December 14, 2012 Snowflake Theme

Today's theme is snowflakes....
I decided to show you one of my most favorite cards I have ever made.....

I used the A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge to cut this card out at 7" and the snowflakes at 2 3/4" or 3 1/4" I used the I-top to make the middle of the snowflakes and Bo Bunny Paper Snowfall for my card!

Here are some additional photos as I was making this card.

This was the way the card was cut out with the snowflakes and snowdrops....
Before I added the 3-D snowflakes.

This is the inside of the card. I couldn't write on the brown so I added another piece of paper which was lighter for me to write on. I also had extra pieces so I used the tag and the extra snow flakes for the inside.

Here is a side view to see how dimensional this card really is....

As you saw above I made a different Christmas Card.... Brown and Blue....
I know not typical, but too cute!

Here are my snowflakes from my brown glitter paper.

I turn my I-top punch upside down so I can center what I want for the middle of my brad...

Here is a close up of the snowflakes and Sentiment

Here are all of the items I used. My I-top, A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge, my I-top punches.
I used Brilliance Brown ink not the blue pictured.
I used Best Creation Brown and Blue Glitter paper along with the Bo Bunny Snowfall Paper.

I cut this Journal tag from the Bo Bunny Paper

I hope you enjoyed today's recap of last year's card.
