We all know how much I LOVE Cricut!!!!
A friend of mine sent this post to me from facebook. This is a post about the Silhouette vs. the Cricut..... The problem is they only asked Silhouette people, well if I asked all of you about Silhouette or Cricut of course MOST of you would say Cricut.
I feel like they only asked Silhouette fans....
Well if they asked me Cricut or Cameo.... we ALL know I would pick Cricut...
I use my cricut for everything, literally.
I love the fact that i can buy ONE cartridge, lets say Flower Shoppe and I get dozen of choices, there is actually a printed guide so I know how to put it together (the new guides they are doing are AMAZING) So I can pay around $20 for all of those flowers and I can mix and match them! I love the freedom to pick what I want. Now, they have begun to allow us to purchase one item at a time. Did you see all of the Father's Day cards that were so easy to put together and only $1.99
They also have been making a design or set of designs,
FREE each week for us to try with Cricut CraftRoom.
I do find with my Silhouette I am always searching forever to find matching sets of images. If I added up all of the items I needed to make my last SVG project it was $73.... I wanted some shapes and some phrases and a card base and the envelope.... After going ALL over to find these things in different places I had spent more than any Cricut cartridge.
On my site they are all between $15- $34.99 EVERYDAY.....
So for $35 or less, I would rather buy an entire cartridge that I do can keep and have in my hand (and loan to my mom)
Speaking of her.... She wanted to cut out a school's logo.... I gave her my Silhouette Cameo to do it. She had no idea where to start to get from the image to the cutting file. (Problem #1)
So I did that for her and sent it to her.... She had to be online to be able to use it (Problem #2)
After she got online and I walked her through it she couldn't get the mat loaded.... It was one thing after another and she then tried to put of the images on her virtual cutting mat. She has not touched it since then.

But I did show her some fun things last night with the Cricut. AFTER I showed her only ONE time how to use the cricut and how to push the buttons to get what she wanted.... it was a breeze for her.
It took one 20 talk and she has it mastered.
This is a person thing for me.... I hate to admit this, but.... I have dropped my Expressions 10+++ times and never had a problem EVER when I went to cut with them. I dropped the Silhouette ONCE and it wouldn't turn on again.... so ANOTHER $300 later I have another machine and it just sits there.
The only reason why I have it is to cut my company logo on vinyl. I cannot find blades for it or adjust the pressure settings... it came with this little tiny plastic thing but I can't get it to work.

I have no idea if Cricut will allow us to cut SVGs and our fonts on the computer....
What I DO KNOW, is that they send out random surveys periodically. I have found that within a year of a survey that i have answered... they usually end up giving us those options. I hope this is true with the recent survey I answered about what i want to be able to cut.
Another wonderful thing with Cricut is that I can go into any craft store and buy blades or cutting mats or even a new cartridge.... Not the case with the other machine. I do like them both for their own reasons, but If I was given one machine for the rest of my life....

HANDS DOWN... I WANT MY CRICUT!!! Well my Cricut (S) he he he.... I have a few :)

I could not believe all that was said about Cricut without actually owning one, go figure....
I myself own both the Silhouette Cameo AND Every CRICUT machine that they make, every cartridge and a gypsy (well 2 of them) I also have 4 Cricut Expressions, Cricut Cake, E2, Cricut Mini.... I think you get the picture. Over the past month I have seen monumental improvements that Cricut has made.... please go to www.cricut.com and have a look around also here are a few of the updates for help guides.... they really do listen to what WE want. Here is a great guide and place to find more ideas and help, they are also making a TON of Tutorials and Help guides.....
So after looking at those things.... I would love if you could go and make a positive comment on this Facebook post. Be honest but always positive....
